Artificial insemination is a reproduction technique, which is performed in patients whose fallopian tubes are permeable and the partner's sperm is of sufficient quality. In this technique, we use the male semen after its classification, according to the strictest international criteria which have been applied in CIVTE ever since its foundation. A mild ovarian stimulation of the patient will be carried out in order to achieve the controlled growth of a small number of her ovarian follicles, thus providing a pregnancy after the administration of HCG and the subsequent onset of ovulation, together with the proper preparation of the partner’s semen. It is worth to mention that the insemination may be from one's partner or a donor, depending on the particulars of the case.
